Privacy Policy

This page explains what Tabkhamatch keeps, what leaves your phone, and why.

What stays on your phone

Your pantry, the meals you mark as cooked, your favourites, your family recipes, your measurement notes and your voice recordings are saved only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Voice notes for family recipes

When you record a family recipe and stop the recording, the audio and the cook’s name you typed are sent over an encrypted connection to Tabkhamatch’s server. There Google’s Gemini AI model, provided through Newly AI (the platform the app is built on), transcribes the audio and writes it up as a recipe. The written recipe is sent back to your phone and saved there. The recording is not stored on our server.

The app asks for your permission before the first recording is sent, and nothing is sent without it. You can withdraw it at any time with “Turn off” on the recording screen.

To make this work without a sign-in screen, the app quietly creates an anonymous account for your phone, using a random identifier. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number. Only use this feature if the person speaking agrees to be recorded.

Reporting a recipe

If you tap “Report a problem” on a family recipe, the reason you pick, the recipe’s title and its text are sent to Tabkhamatch’s server and kept so we can review the report.

Subscriptions

Tabkhamatch Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat, our subscription service, receives a random app identifier and your purchase status so Pro can be unlocked and restored. We never see your payment details.

Usage analytics

The app sends anonymous usage events, such as which screens are opened, to Newly’s analytics service. We use them to understand which features people use and to fix problems. They don’t include your recipes, pantry or recordings, and they are not used for advertising.

Microphone

The app asks for microphone access only to record family recipes. You can turn it off at any time in your phone’s Settings. Everything else in the app keeps working without it.

Links to other services

The “Talabat Mart” buttons open Talabat’s website or app. Tabkhamatch doesn’t send Talabat any of your data. What you do there is covered by Talabat’s own privacy policy.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Terms of Use

Using Tabkhamatch

Tabkhamatch helps you plan home cooking. Recipes, substitutions and timings are suggestions. Check ingredients for allergies and dietary needs, and make sure food is cooked safely. AI-written recipes from voice notes can contain mistakes, so review them before you rely on them.

Your content

Recipes and recordings you add are yours. Only record people who have agreed to it, and only add content you have the right to keep.

Purchases

If the app offers paid features, prices and billing terms are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Purchases are also covered by Apple’s standard Terms of Use (EULA) or Google Play’s terms.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for outcomes from following its suggestions.
